We’re a family from Ferizaj, Kosovo — where “05” isn’t just a number, it’s a symbol of home.

Cooking has always been part of who we are. Generation after generation, our family has been known for amazing food — the kind you remember, the kind everyone asks for. Back home, whenever we had guests, there was never a single person who could resist our food. The table was always full, and people always went back for more.

Now in North West London, we’re carrying that legacy forward — and a dream that started long before this shop. My dad always wanted to open a coffee place that serves proper, homemade burek, the way we grew up eating it.

With our family’s traditions behind us, The 05 Kitchen came to life — built from the ingredients, techniques, and skills passed down through our mums and across our family.

We come from big families, and everyone seems to have their own special recipe. And when it comes to desserts, both of our sisters have incredible recipes and real talent — sweets we genuinely grew up enjoying at home, and we had to share them here because they’re too good not to.

Every morning we make our dough from scratch — thick, flaky, and never from filo. We bake fresh all day, from classics like kadaif and rice pudding, to treats like chocolate chip cookies, berry & white chocolate cookies, Şeqar Pare (our “money cake”), brownies, cookie dough brownies, banana bread, and more — with great coffee to match.

This isn’t fast food.  
This is love — layered in pastry, baked with pride, and served like home.
